Now AMD is preparing they first Sempron processors that use socket AM3 and DDR3. The processor is given the name "Sargas".

Sargas is a single-core chip that came along with the single-core Athlon property II X-2 is called "Regor". Sargas Seeing the broad 3.6 GT / s HyperTransport 3.0 system interface, 128 KB L1 and 1 MB L2 cache, dual-channel DDR2/DDR3 memory interface, and feature updates from AMD, and its instruction set, including AMD64, SSE4A, and AMD-V.

This new champion of Sempron, architecture built over the 45 nm SOI process, and have a voltage between 0.85 - 1:35 V. SKU's first 140-based Sempron X1 has a 2.70 GHz clock speed and bus multiplier 13.5x.

With speed, the Sargas has a Thermal Design Power (TDP) of 45W. Based on information from techpowerup, Tuesday (21/7/2009), this product will come to market at the end of this week. The price is estimated at about 35 euros.
